Photoshop Tutorial: Robin Garbage Truck 09/11/2015

Robin Garbage Truck Concept This is my Robin garbage truck concept, I have tried to take the small, quirkiness of a robin and put it onto this garbage truck, I like this friendly round feeling you get from it. I would have personally would have liked it to have looked a little more cheerful but the colour scheme appeared to have worked really well with this design.

'Edward Scissorhands' Designing What Made The Cut 05/11/2015

Figure 1: ' Edward Scissorhands'  Poster This film review will focus on how Edward is portrayed as a character, how he interacts with this other world he has been secluded from and how the inhabitants of that world interact with him. The film was made in 1990 was directed by 'Tim Burton' and produced by 'Denise Di Novi'. The film is regarded by many as Tim Burtons best work. You can see the team that he worked with were very professional and when you look at the film in greater detail you can really see the attention to detail that the team put in. Figure 2: 'Edward Scissorhands' Town The Production Designer 'Bo Welch' has worked with Tim Burton on most of his films so he knows Tim very well and what he wants from a production designer. When you look at the town it is an almost perfect example of a world where everything has been taken over by consumerism. Everything looks the same, however the option of different colours is there to gi...

OGR: Using the feedback and what I need to change.

OGR Feedback Response Okay so I got my OGR feedback and I have looked at the way I have designed my city and there are some things I now need to take into account. The first is my general style, I originally wanted to do something modern/futuristic, but now I have gotten my feedback my environment will change drastically. I still want the city to be like a 'Drugs Trip' "As you approach the city you can see massive highways made out of what appears to be dull rainbows, depending on the angle you can see different colors for example when you are far away from the city you get a glisten of red on your windscreen, but as you get closer it slowly fade to the color blue." (My Travelogue). This journey up to the city is meant to look like bright colors as if you were high/tripping or something, so maybe I need to emphasize this a bit more in my design.  Next bit of criticism, my color scheme, originally I wanted to do colors of the rainbow but slightly more...

Maya Tutorial: Street Final Piece 06/11/2015

Scene Buildup Gif Final Scene (Photoshopped)   Organized Hypershade If there is on thing I can definitely take away from this exercise, it is that I can now use that Hypershade! Took some getting used to but now I understand it a whole lot better. Modeled Street UV's Laid Out Lighting Materials Prepared Ambient Occlusion Final Scene Render Final Scene Render (Photoshopped) This is my final scene for the task I have been set. This was really fun and I might use these textures as a little practice for some modeling and rendering techniques. Overall the final piece came out really nice, the bump maps and lighting really pulled this scene together to give it a sense of realism and life. I am super happy with this and plan to do more scenes based off of this.

Maya Tutorial: Street Progress

Textured Street This is my textured street. It is looking really good but I am still going to add to it. I have one step left of the tutorial and then I am done but I might do a batch render of this if I get the time. Its looking really good though and I now understand texturing a lot better now so hopefully you will see some really simple models with simple textures soon!

Maya Tutorial: Street Progress 06/11/2015

Street Ambient Occlusion Street Lighted I have lighted the street and added an ambient occlusion layer. They both came out really nice but for whatever reason the bottom image is a lot darker in the photo rather than the render. Ambient Occlusion looks gorgeous though, super happy with that.

Maya Tutorial: Street Alley Progress 04/11/2015

So far I have modeled the whole thing and begun UV mapping the models. I need to work on my skills a lot more still but this is starting to look really good. When texturing some of the parts of the environment I did use my own methods but has still given the same results, which I am really happy about.
