Flash Animation: Character Design, A Despotic Toothbrush 22/01/2016

Despotic Toothbrushes I am going to take influence from 3, 7, 9 and 10. For animation purposes I would like a very tall toothbrush. Most of the animation will be in the face so expect more posts on this topic soon!

Flash Animation: A Complete Redo. 15/01/2016

Okay so I will say my first attempt at this smell animation thing was quite pathetic, having three triangles move in an arc fashion just seemed very lazy, so I did another. Original Animation  This newer animation not only looks a lot nicer than the original but has real nice flow to it. It is inspired by the smell of mint, quick, sharp, but takes time to build up. New Animation  Then there was taste, I decided to go with Cola because I though it might be fun to do, having a strong prominent flavor that if left for long enough will bubble away. New'er Animation I will be adding to this animation when I get the chance so stay tuned.

Premier Pro: Like-For-Like

Here is my Like-For-Like as a video created in Adobe Premier Pro, I have never used this program before but it seems like a much easier version of After Effects. Having tools created for video editing rather than video effects could be useful in future project but I am not sure yet, I would need to play around with this a bit more in order to learn the program.

Flash: Abstract Test 08/01/2016

Test 1 Test 2 Test 3 In this lesson we had to make abstract animations based on smell, I will not lie this was rather difficult. Flash is not my strongest program but trying to visualize a smell is quite tough, the pine was the smell I got which was quite minty, so a nice little green would have looked nice. My favorite is number three just because of the motion it has, sharp and smooth, like mint.

Finished Flash Animation: Snap Kick 04/12/2015

Before Refinement After Refinement On my final animation the kick came out super good, I like the way it has some real spin to it, the belt also has some nice flow to it too. The head and back knee can be a little out of place at times but it looks okay.

Maya Texture Experimentation: Outlines

This Gif is meant to be somewhat of a loading screen, just using textures to make the wireframe a little more bizarre, then altered in after effects, looped and turned into a GIF in Photoshop and it was done. Might need to give this a little more pop, but for a test it works fine.

Flash Animation: Side Swing Kick 27/11/2015

Animation Since I am having technical difficulty getting my life drawings onto blogger I have done an animation of someone kicking, the spin is real nice and maybe I will even come back to this and make it look better in the future.

Autodesk SketchBook Practise 20/11/2015

Tidal Wave with a Little Boat Just wanted to practice with this software, it turns out there are a number of useful tools in this program, such as a perspective line tool (Which is super useful!) and the brushes smudge really nicely. The tidal wave was actually  an accident, I messed around with all the brushes and noticed that what I had made looked like a tidal wave! So I worked into it and I came up with this. Personally I really like this just because of the little boat and fish. They look like they are meant to be there and the entire picture just looks really happy, despite there being a tidal wave.

Project 2: Building Thumbnails/Concepts

Thumbnails 103-109  These thumbnails were made using the models I created in Maya, using Victor Moscoso's artwork as a template to extrude from. Once the random models were made I started masking buildings in Photoshop. Thumbnail 2 (104) Finalized Thumbnail 3 (105) I tried to use the color red to give a sense of danger, having everything in this very scary tone of reds and blues to capture an almost threatening atmosphere really adds to this scene.

Gustodian Lamp Posts 12/11/2015

These are my lamp designs for my city, Victor did work for lots of music bands so I figured I should have some props related to music in the scene. Personally I really like this design as it does not look Modern nor Sci-Fi but this kind of Jolly, easily recognizable streetlamp. Really happy with how this came out.

Photoshop Tutorial: Robin Garbage Truck 09/11/2015

Robin Garbage Truck Concept This is my Robin garbage truck concept, I have tried to take the small, quirkiness of a robin and put it onto this garbage truck, I like this friendly round feeling you get from it. I would have personally would have liked it to have looked a little more cheerful but the colour scheme appeared to have worked really well with this design.

2D Animation 30/10/2015

Box Falling GIF Ball Falling GIF Here are some 2D animation I have done. They focus on the basic principles of animation so nothing too fancy yet. You can see for the box I have tried to add motion lines and the ball I have added some fabric to give a sense of motion.

Invisible Cities Low Exterior Shot 21/10/2015

Low Exterior Shot Gif   Final Low Exterior Shot This is my final exterior shot painting, something about this painting doesn't give the scale I was going for in my three paintings. What I would think causes this is that the door is way to big, maybe shrinking down the door would have helped given the tower some scale. The idea can still be conveyed but I would have liked to of added more texture if I had the skill.

Invisible CitIes Interior Shot 21/10/2015

Interior Shot Gif Final Interior Shot This is my final interior shot, I would like to think that this was done well but it did not turn out the way I had hoped. The perspective was fine but everything seemed to lack detail, I couldn't get the level of detail I was looking for and when I had to get it done I was not able to perform to my own expectations. It still came out okay but I would have liked it to look more detailed
